WW2 German SS Mounted Cavalry Sword Eickhorn . SG194

WW2 German SS Mounted Cavalry Sword. SS runes on sword langet. Also, marked SD 242 on other side of cross guard. The blade is acid etched “Meine Ehre heist Treue” (My Glory is Fidelity) SS motto on the blade. Blade marker marked with early 1933/34 Eickhorn logo under langet (hard to make out). A lot of heavy wear to fittings, blade, and scabbard. Triple wire wrap and grip in decent condition. Scabbard throat is missing along with the two screws to hold in the throat. Blade length approximately 31 inches, approximately 38 inches in overall length in scabbard.
