WW2 German Police Officer Sword Eickhorn SS Marked . SG195

WW2 German Municipal Police Officer Sword (Degen). Sword is SS proof marked both under the cross guard and on the scabbard throat. Maker marked with the logo for Eickhorn Solingen on the blade ricasso. The sword blade measures approximately 29 1/2 inches, and about 35 inches overall. This is a straight sword, a single-sided blade. The blade is in decent condition with some wear and quite a bit of graying. The eagle on the handle is in nice shape, however, the grip is damaged at the top portion just under the pommel with portions chipped off, most likely from over tightening or improper storage, and the grip has a bit of a wiggle to it. The paint on the scabbard has a bit of wear and scuffs. Original leather buffer pad piece is still in place. The sword fits nicely into the scabbard.
