Field Bottle Cover Strap, 1940 Pattern, Reproduction

Description A Reproduction of the 1940 pattern Finnish field bottle cover strap. This strap is meant to be used with the m/36 field bottle and the 1940 pattern field bottle cover. This type of simplified strap and cover were introduced after the Winter War and were used all the way through the rest of WW2. The material is 1.5 – 3 mm thick cowhide. The strap is constructed with steel rivets. There is a steel spring hook for fastening the bottle to the bread bag. There is variation in the leather colors on these. Your chosen leather color is an approximation. See photos for some of the variation. We use scrap leather for these, as was done during the war, so there is a lot of variation.
