‘Always in my heart’ Necklace with ruby- gold plated (in memory of a child)

I have been thinking about making this piece for a long time but hesitated because I want to do it right and it is a vulnerable topic. Doing Mother-Kids jewelry now for almost a decade and over the years multiple customers requested or bought a bracelet or necklace to remember the loss of a child, miscarriage, stillborn. It was Kirsty Nagel who asked me to make this piece and motivated me to bring this to other mothers that experienced the loss of a child. Together we decided on this design; a heart with a little ruby. Lois Kruidenier wrote a beautiful poem in Dutch to accompany this necklace.
