Additional Notes: The “Hindenburg Cross” is a common nickname for the Honor Cross of the World War 1914/1918 (German: Das Ehrenkreuz des Weltkrieges 1914/1918), a commemorative medal established in 1934 by Field Marshal Paul von Hindenburg, then President of the German Republic.
