WW2 German Infantry Assault Badge in Silver. Semi-hollow zinc-based, silvered badge. Not marker marked on badge. Nice finish on badge. Worn condition.   Additional Notes: The Infantry Assault Badge (Infanterie-Sturmabzeichen) was instituted in December of 1939, by Generalfeldmarschall Walther von Brauchitsch. It was awarded to soldiers of the Waffen-SS and Wehrmacht Heer (Army) who participated in infantry assaults on the front lines.
