Glazed ceramic planter, smoking pipe bowl in shades of mottled redish brown with gold accents, made in Japan for import by RELPO (Reliable Glassware & Pottery, Chicago), 1960’s-70’s. Kitschy in its time, now vintage kitsch for display. Shows mild crazing but no chips or cracks to the glaze. A few minor flaws from firing, notably a strip of gold-tone on the stem underside as shown in the photo. Very light wear overall. Underside stamped serial number T607, company label reads “RELPO / CHICAGO ILL / MADE IN JAPAN”. See Additional Information for shipping dimensions.
