WW2 Turkish Mauser M1935 Bayonet. Marked AS.FA (for the maker of Askari Fabrika) on pommel area. Also, serial numbered on pommel area: 139190. Approximately 9 1/2 inch blade. Very worn condition with a lot of small dings to scabbard area. Additional Notes: The Turkish Mauser M1935 Bayonet, marked ASFA, was produced by Turkey for their Model 1938 Mausers. This bayonet was created from modified versions of existing bayonets and was standardized to fit the new 8mm rifle round. The ASFA marking indicates that the bayonet was made at the Askari Fabrika, Turkey’s military arsenal, and reflects the country’s tradition of adapting and modifying imported firearms.
